8th international meeting OSSOLA 2010 | Val Bognanco

AIC, Italian Canyoning Association is pleased to announce the 8th international meeting Ossola 2010 that will be held in the wonderful environment of Alpe Gomba, in val Bognanco, kindly hosted by the municipality of Bognanco. 

CANYONING SAFELY
Two words to summarize the spirit of this year AIC international meeting. Ossola 2010 is the chance to grow awareness on best safe practices in the sport of canyoning, especially during large events such as national meetings that involve hundreds of people.

RESPECT OF NATURE
Being respectful of the environment, this is our second but not secondary goal. Never forget that canyoning is possible only because there are stunning places, like canyons, that deserve to be protected, mainly from privileged visitors such as ourselves.

> leave national road SS33 towards Simplon Pass (Passo del Sempione) at the exit of Domodossola

> take provincial road SP166 towards Bognanco

> take provincial road SP68 heading for Bognanco

> take the road towards San Bernardo

> turn left after the hamlet of Graniga towards La Gomba

Alpe Gomba, part of the municipality of Bognanco and seat of the meeting, is north-east of Bognanco at an altitude of 1.250 m above sea level (better to wrap up!).

The Alpe is located at the foot of a charming alpine snout, embraced by beautiful conifers woods, risulting in cool evenings even during hot summer nights.

The meeting organization managed to set up the following provided services close to each other:

- registration office

- camping area located on cosy grass close to the wood

- toilet facilities and showers 50m far from the camping area

- tension structure with vendors stands

- bar managed by local Alpini's group

- food facilities at the Yolki Palki camping

- caravanning area 300 m from the main meeting site, connected by a short path

from 16/06/2010 to 15/07/2010

• canyoners: 32 €
• non-canyoners: 15 €

from 16/07/2010 to 08/08/2010

• canyoners: 38 €
• non-canyoners: 15 €

FREE admission for children under 14

starting from the 9th of August the registration will be possible in person at the registration office at the meeting site. 

The RV/Caravans slots are full. We won't take any more reservations.

the registration fee includes:

• free camping area for tents
• toilets, showers and facilities for washing the equipment
• free admittance to all the events
• free admittance to all the canyoning excursions managed by AIC 
• t-shirt of the event
• a guidebook to the canyons of Val d'Ossola
• gadgets
• agreement on the dinners price
• free admission to the closing dinner and the lottery

as from July 29th, gadgets cannot be guaranteed for new registered guests
